About Us
There is a Library at each campus providing books, journals, DVDs, videos and more.
The role of the University Library is to support UCA's teaching, learning and research functions.
Each course has a dedicated Faculty Librarian who maintains close links with tutors and responds to academic developments. The library is formally represented on Subject Boards and on the Academic Board.
Collectively the University Library provides one of the most comprehensive visual arts resources in the region, offering access to around 300,000 print and electronic books and exhibition catalogues and subscriptions to over 14,000 print and electronic journals.
Multimedia collections comprise over 20,000 videos and DVDs (including television broadcasts made under licence), audio resources and digital games.
Access to the Internet is available and the Library website has links to over 50 subscribed information services, including still and moving image collections, newspaper archives, e-books and e-journals.
The Library Catalogue and most of the electronic resources are available both on and off campus. Users may borrow materials from all five sites. In addition, the Library offers a document supply service to provide items not available from within the University collections.
We have computing, printing and photocopying facilities.
All new students are offered an induction to the Library. Tailored research skills workshop are held during the year.
Library opening times vary between sites, but during term-time all campus libraries are open in the evening and some are also open at the weekend.
