Community Projects
The Business & Community School at Epsom and Farnham is taking the lead in working with the communities of the two towns and their Boroughs.
We're currently working closely with Waverley Borough Council on enhancing the East Street development in Farnham through the engagement of artists, designers, architects and planners.
The School is also helping one of the most important historical sites in the South - Farnham Castle - which has been awarded £700,000 in Heritage Lottery Funding for major restoration works and improvements for visitors. As part of this project, a Heritage in Action room is to be created exploring the castle's nine centuries through paintings, hands-on exhibits, interactive displays, models and photographs. This room will also provide refreshments for visitors to the keep.
The project is being led by Philip Ely, Associate Dean, (pictured above with James Twiss, CEO of Farnham Castle and Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport) and Peter Waters, Course Leader Interior Architecture & Design.
